Add $300 to all of these prices for shipping. You can call anytime if you have questions regarding a pup you are interested in 210-364-6396 or 806-497-6400.
I prefer NOT to ship, but will do so ONLY in the United States. I will drive a reasonable distance (up to 200 miles from zip code 79331 or zip code 78006) to meet you, so you can pick up your puppy (buyer to cover gas expenses). I ship out of San Antonio, TX on Continental to major cities. Shipping has been around $300 which includes the airline fees, health cert., crate, and weight of puppy at time of travel.
A $100 NON-REFUNDABLE fee is set to serve as your deposit to hold your puppy until you can either pick it up or it can be shipped (usually in either case at 8 weeks of age). The remaining balance must be paid BEFORE I can ship or the pup be given to the owner. I will accept cash, cashier's check, US money orders, and personal checks (for deposits). I can now take PayPal for payment. They usually charge a 3% service charge, which must be paid for by perspective puppy buyer. Please contact me for more PayPal information or for ANY info 210-364-6396 or 806-497-6400. Thank you!
Puppies are vet checked, given their first set of shots, and wormed right before they go to their new homes. If shipped they come with a carrier and health certificate along with their AKC registration papers if required, and an AKC litter certificate with a 3 generation pedigree. All pups have a HEALTH GUARANTEE (see page). All pups parents have been tested for Juvenile Cataracts by the Animal Health Trust in England or by the VETGEN company. No puppy that you buy from us will ever develop Juvenile Cataracts. Puppies parents are currently (as of May 09) being BAER, CERF and Patella checked, look for results on the OFFA.org site soon. Puppies as of September 2009 will all be BAER tested before the leave for their new homes to ensure they can hear properly. Puppies from two brindle parents will be color tested for the fawn, Ay, gene through VETGEN, unless they themselves are fawn.
As we do not have more than 2-3 litters per year, it may take time to get you the baby that you want. Please keep in contact with me and I will do the best I can to place the right baby with you. And don't forget about our wonderful adults that we have from time to time to place. These are usually fixed and we know how they would do with you and your family. You can get a wonderful fawn friend that you don't have to worry about potty training!
I will also do my best to find you a boston through a reputable breeder I trust. If you go looking for a boston on your own, make sure the breeder knows all about the genetic diseases bostons can have. The answer 'well, nothings ever come back with a problem' is NOT A GOOD ANSWER! They should, at a minimum, know about Juvenile Hereditary Cataracts, Patellar Luxation, Deafness and the tests to test for these, as these most often are the some of the major problems in the breed. Do LOTS OF RESEARCH on Boston diseases so you will know what to ask a breeder. Temperment too, is something you want to take into consideration. Try as best you can to observe a puppies parents, as the puppies will most likely have tendencies like their parents.
See my page on ABOUT FAWN BOSTON TERRIERS for more info on bostons in general.
